Fred Mikardo-Greaves was writer-in-residence at serf artist studios for two days in February 2017, developing a piece in response to a solo ‘flash show’ by William Noel Clarke. Funded by Leeds Inspired, the residency gave writer and studio holders time and space to discuss wider issues around Clarke’s practice (the focus of a ‘serf school’ event following the exhibition), which revolves around research, pedagogy, performance and the curatorial.
