Devon Forrester-Jones was writer-in-residence at Humber Street Gallery throughout Winter 2017/18, coinciding with the Hull UK City of Culture programme. She worked together with visitors, gallery staff and established writers Claire Potter and Jamie Sutcliffe to produce ‘Trade of Paper’, a creative piece of writing that reflected her time spent in the gallery and in Hull during a complex period of transformation. The final publication, Occasional Residents, includes contributions by all three writers, an introduction by residency coordinator Rebecca Senior and a commissioned artist insert by Lee Karen Stow. An events programme included a writer-led workshop, a panel discussion and a publication launch.
The residency programme was delivered in partnership with Humber Street Gallery and supported by Arts Council England.
