Of Wolves and Wild Women was produced during the fourth annual writing residency with Leeds Arts University, in response to the planned Rachel Goodyear exhibition at Blenheim Walk Gallery, and designed by Ashleigh Armitage and Laure Carnet of Dust Collective. The exhibiton was postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions and the residency took place online in the Spring of 2020.
Emerging writer Cathy Garner was commissioned to develop a new text, ‘Coincidence and Constellations’, what became a reflection on Goodyear’s work experienced through the conditions of lockdown. An essay by art historian Patricia Allmer and a curatorial foreword by Catriona McAra provide the context for Goodyear’s ouevre, and her delayed solo exhibition.
